‘Wonder’ sure to inspire movie-goers

Sophia Hardin, Staff Writer

The PG-rated film Wonder, directed by Stephen Chbosky, is spectacular. It is incredibly heart-warming and inspirational to people of all ages.

The film is based on the book by R.J. Palacio. It tells the story of August “Auggie” Pullman, a young boy with a facial deformity. The film guides the audience through Auggie’s first year at public school. He deals with bullies and meets incredible friends, meanwhile being supported by his family, played by award-winning actors Owen Wilson and Julia Roberts.

Jacob Tremblay, who plays Auggie, is bound to tug at some heartstrings. He is only eleven years old and already an astounding actor, which is reflected in Wonder.

Wonder gives a beautiful message about kindness, acceptance, friendship, and bravery. In a world with so much hatred, it is so amazing to see such a positive film.

The film is geared towards children, but anyone with a heart is likely to enjoy Wonder.
